Important Notes:
Dues: Snowden PTO operates its membership dues on a “pay-what-you-can” model. We have suggested donations for membership; however, membership payments are not required to join our PTO. We do not want dues to be a barrier to joining! If you feel inclined to donate any amount for membership dues, that is always welcomed, too—large or small!
Attending monthly PTO meetings is not required, but it is highly encouraged.
Children are welcome to attend PTO meetings with their families and come as they are: workout clothes, business attire, t-shirts, and jeans. No dress code—just keep it appropriate.
Meetings are held in our school cafeteria. Our first meeting will be on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm! Future meeting dates will be announced via the PTO corner in Ms. Scruggs’ weekly school emails and on social media. The PTO meets 3 times per year: September, February, and in May.

Connection: Attend PTO Members Only family social mixers and meet other Snowden families. Engage with Snowden families at meetings and by volunteering for PTO events. Students with involved parents are more likely to have higher grades and test scores, attend school regularly, have better social skills, show improved behavior, and adapt well to school.

Staying informed: Receive advanced notice of meeting agendas and prior meeting minutes for review, and review monthly budget reports **If you can’t attend meetings, you’ll still be in the loop by receiving PTO meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and monthly budget reports via email.
