Join us for our first Snazz Up Snowden of the year. Our two biggest projects will be to spread mulch in the playground area and to work to save the Natchez Crepe Myrtles, planted in honor of First Lady Laura Bush's visit to Snowden. They have contracted a fatal bark scale disease.
We'll also need volunteers to clean up the outdoor classroom area, help supervise our Rhodes College day of service volunteers, and weed all over.
Please bring pitch forks, wheelbarrows, work gloves, weeding tools, pruners, loppers and any other garden implement that you think will be helpful. Volunteers should bring their own reusable water bottles and gardening gloves. We will have extra gardening gloves and water as well as coffee and donuts.
